- Kindergartens and preschools with less than 25 children attending.
- Remote location early childhood services, kindergarten and preschools – no limit to the number of children attending.
On Call ECT covers all aspects of Regulation 130 (Requirement for early childhood teacher – centre based services – fewer than 25 approved places) And Regulation 239A (Centre-based services in remote and very remote areas – attendance of early childhood teachers)
How we can help
Many small child care services fail to meet the requirement for ECT’s due to industry shortage of qualified ECT’s, and are therefore forced to apply for a Waiver. This is how we can help:
- Establish a collaborative relationship with clients
- Support the Educators and team with the implementation of the approved learning frameworks
- support children’s wellbeing, learning and development
- Ensure attention to developing the Educational program and assist the services to build relationships with children and families
- Assist the staff in meeting the elements of the National Quality Standards.
We cover the required 20% or 40% ‘access’ to an ECT
An On Call ECT weekly consultation will cover the required 20% or 40% of operational time for your childhood service.
Many educators find developing planning cycles to be most challenging.
We are focused on ensuring our customers are comfortable with collecting meaningful documentation and understanding the full planning cycle process.
We also understand that many educators find analysing learning and critical reflection to be difficult.
We are always striving to find the most simplest and supportive ways to guide them – and we think we have done just that!
Each quarter, we send you a carefully selected learning resource to use as a way of saying ‘thanks for being part of our service’.

About On Call ECT
Lynda and Amy Lewis are a mother and daughter team who have worked in the Early Childhood sector for 10 years, owning and operating three child care services in regional and remote areas during that time.
I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying reading the weekly reports. It is really making me think about so many different ways that we can improve. It is helping with our overall planning and we are realising how much we need to write down. It is also making our team reflect on all our practices and we are a much better team because of it.

We think On Call ECT is fantastic and helpful in every way. Not only there for feedback but the ongoing support is fantastic.
The educators are loving the weekly reports, this helps look at things in a different way.
Fiona – Smart Kids Child Care Centre – Coonamble
Can highly recommend On Call ECT to services either remote or with licensed places for less than 25 children.
We have recently taken the plunge and couldn’t be happier.
Roz – Leonora Early Learning Centre
Working for On Call ECT is a fantastic opportunity to work from home and share your knowledge as an Early Childhood Teacher. I am loving the opportunity to have flexible working hours, see how other centres plan and assess learning and provide them with feedback and inspiration. Lynda is passionate about what she does and provides a professional and supportive work environment through email and phone communication. Being a part of On Call ECT also provides great opportunities to network with other ECTs across the country and develop yourself professionally. I would highly recommend On Call ECT to any experienced ECTs looking for flexible work opportunities that allow you to share your passion for quality early years teaching.
My team are absolutely loving the communication. So easy getting it off Xplor too.
Ana, Director, Kaleen Cubbyhouse, ACT
Working with On Call ECT has provided me with great opportunities to mentor and guide other Educators in their teaching and pedagogical practices. I like how flexible, supportive and great the team are to work with.
Renata, Early Childhood Teacher, NSW
We have been supported by On Call ECT for a few months and I can’t recommend them enough. We have 3 centres in regional WA and it is hard to find qualified ECT’s. It is great to have On Call ECT to contact and our staff love their reports and feedbacks. Lynda Lewis and her team have a profund understanding of the requirements and regulations to help us create the best program and plan for our centres.
